I was browsing the web recently and came across pages of beautiful women, comprised of famous models and actresses like Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Demi Moore, Elle Macpherson, Alicia Silverstone, etc. ad nauseam. Some guys had even created entire "worship pages" for these women. At least most of them have long hair. Yet nowhere that I looked did I see anything for my personal favorite, Andie MacDowell, whom I find simply more beautiful than any other supermodel or actress who has ever lived. Thus, here I have decided to give her a little much-deserved positive recognition on the Internet.
Though of course I would consider meeting her an honor, I don't worship Andie, nor any other
woman; she is, however, the only woman alive who makes me completely forget all the reasons to avoid
women. :) I think she's the most beautiful actress in all of Hollywood, and to me, she's easily the most
beautiful woman in the world! Andie characterizes the US term "Southern Belle," though her beauty even
transcends western standards - evidenced in part by the fan letters I have received about her from people all
over the world. Her dark eyes and long, dark curls attract me like no one else, and even though she has
been a supermodel for longer than any other, she lacks that "supermodel pretense" - they all seem fake to
me in a way I can't explain. The more I learn about her, though, the more I do admire her for more than her
beauty.
Born: April 21, 1958 in Gaffney, South Carolina, USA as Rose Anderson MacDowell. She was the youngest of four daughters born to an alcoholic mother who died of a heart-attack in 1982, and a lumberman who divorced her in 1964. In 1978, she dropped out of Winthrop College, moved to New York and was signed by Elite Model Management. She was L'Oreal's exclusive model for several years until 1989 in the US, and continued modeling until 1990. She still represents L'Oreal in Europe though she no longer models. Andie is married to Paul Qualley (about whom little accurate information has thus far been obtained!), has a son and two daughters (Justin, Rainey, Sarah Margaret), and lives in the remote 9 Mile Valley just outside Frenchtown, Montana.

Andie rates herself high on the beauty scale but believes that without much intelligence, she would be nowhere. Quote: "If I didn't have anything inside, I wouldn't be where I am--I certainly wouldn't be able to do comedies" (which are her favorite); quote: "People seem to have more respect for dramas but I love doing romantic comedies because that's the kind of movie I enjoy seeing."
She believes that being raised by an alcoholic and coming from a broken home has helped her become a better actor.
Quote: "I'm very grateful I had a helter-skelter upbringing because without it, I don't think I could have become an
actor. In every role I've ever played, my experience with my mother has helped somehow."
Quote: "Acting in Hollywood is just one small side of me. The real me--my favorite me--is the wife and mother who
bakes pies and breastfeeds. I find it difficult to accept that I'm a movie star, being put on a pedestal makes me
uncomfortable."
James Le Gros, from Bad Girls (who signed up for the movie partly because of her) said: "It's great to work with
someone who understands we're in show business, not working with burn victims in
Croatia. She comes to work to have a good time. She's funny, she listens, she's got so much soul, she's beautiful.
Just look at her. She's Andie MacDowell."
Even Hugh Grant, her co-star in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" was smitten: he said he literally trembled in her
presence, and had to keep stopping himself from blurting out that he absolutely adored her when they were
shooting the film.
